Become an Action Advocate

Autism New Jersey works to affect federal and state legislation, regulations, and public policy in a way that benefits New Jerseyans with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) of all ages.

The Autism New Jersey Action Advocates program focuses the efforts of thousands of individuals from across the state that are committed to improving services and funding for children and adults with autism. The Action Advocates program unites advocates who live in all 13 Congressional Districts and 40 Legislative Districts in New Jersey.

Autism New Jersey’s Public Policy Department provides the autism community with information on the laws, regulations, and public policies that affect people with autism and their families.

Action Advocates are:

  • Committed to staying educated on the latest autism issues.
  • Prepared to lend their voice when advocacy is required, either by (1) contacting their local, state and federal representatives (by phone, mail or email); (2) attending meetings; or (3) providing testimony.
